Marriage registrations in Andhra Pradesh can be done online from May next year. To reduce delays and inconvenient in the registration process, A.P Stamps and Registration Department has decided to introduce an online marriage registrations facility by May-end. No need of applicants must attend at offices of sub-registrars to submit their respective application forms.
In online process applicants who want matrimony registration and marriage certificate can visit the official website of the department http://registration.ap.gov.in and fill in all respects the details. The Mandatory details can be filed online and like marriage photo, wedding card and age proofs can also be uploaded. But to avoid any kind of misuse, a physical appearance by the bride and the groom before the sub-registrar concerned for receiving the certificate is a must.

A single visit to receive the marriage certificate is necessary. Software updating to facilitate the online marriage registrations method has been in trial runs at the moment.
The online marriage registrations facility could be available in Hyderabad in two months time. This also is expected to be ready in the next six months to set online marriage registrations around the state without headache by repeated trips to the sub-registrar offices.
