Andhra Pradesh Government providing citizen services through Mee Seva Citizen Services centres, which now offer about 58 services, including birth and death certificates, will be expanded to cover 100 services by March 2013. By covering more services in MeeSeva centres, Andhra Pradesh Government will be able to help citizen save up to Rs 6,000 crore in a year. Meeseva services official website is www.meeseva.gov.in. Up to now, more than 80 lakh people have availed MeeSeva services and it hit the one core services mark. From 11 January 2013 Meeseva centres will handle 16 more services, taking the total to 58, when 400 more MeeSeva centres will begin to function. Five of the new services in MeeSeva would be from the Revenue Department, four each from Home and Civil Supplies and three from the Municipal Administration. At present 5,600 Mee Seva centres in the AP State that offering IT-enabled services by issuing a variety of documents/certificates against applications received from AP Citizens, achieved a big milestone by successfully completing one crore transactions at 9 January 2013.
Mee Seva centres were launched on November 4, 2011, now delivering 58 services and issuing documents relating to various government departments, mainly Revenue, Home, GHMC and Municipal Administration etc.
Information Technology Minister said all MeeSeva centres would be able to handle 100000 applications daily. Out of 1.42 crore applications received since 2011, only 3.8 lakh was declared invalid as the services for which they were submitted, were unavailable under Mee Seva.
