Delhi IIT has announced that online application submission for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2020) examination for admission in national level engineering colleges is started from Friday. October 5 is the last date to receive online applications. A Gate exam will be held on February 3, 4, 10 and 11. GATE-2020 Eligibility: B.Tech / BEE, B.Sc, M.Sc (Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications), four years Integrated ME / M.Tech, Four years BS, Five Years Integrated Employee or Five Year B.Sc. / M.Sc degree. The students who are studying last year’s courses are also eligible. Candidates who are studying for the third year are also eligible to apply for four year Integrated M.Tech students. A total of 23 papers will be tested in the past. These include 21 papers and engineering subjects for engineering and technology, related subjects and entrepreneurs with respective subjects for entrepreneurs. Candidates should apply appropriately to their qualifications.
- The gate test takes place at 100 marks in any paper. There are 65 questions from the general aptitude for the compulsory section and 55 questions from the selected subjects.
- Most of the questions in the General Studies section are Sentence Completion of Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability, Verbal Analyzes and Basic English Grammar.
- Questions in the Gate Exam Subject papers are of two types. These are Multilanguage questions (Multiple Choice), Numerical Based Answers questions. Each question will be assigned a mark or two marks.
GATE-2020 test is going on online mode. Candidates will be examined in eight slots in two slots per day in 2018, February 3, 4, 10 and 11. Candidates will be assigned a slot based on the chosen subsection paper.
The marks obtained in the GATE exam for 100 marks will be converted to a 1,000 mark scoring system in the normalization process. Candidates have to strive for more than 600 scores in the IITs. In the case of leading IITs, this score is more than 700 if you have a chance to get a choice. The last statistics are evidence.
Gate score is also standardized for the recruitment in executive engineer trainee and management trainee (engineering) in entry level in public sector enterprises such as Maharatna, Navratna under the central government. Group Discussion / Group Task, Personnel Interviews and finalization of appointments are finalized to candidates who have received specific GATE score. To get a chance to get the PSU selection process, the gate score should be between 750 and 800 in the General category.
Practice and Time management is a key factor in Gate’s success. Practice should not be limited to just reading and reading the notes.
