On 24 Aug TS Govt. issues GO 24 to Amendment rules of B.Ed. Course Common Entrance Test. The scarcity of mathematics and science teachers in the Govt. schools will fulfill soon.
Unemployment engineering graduates have provided the state government with the opportunity to enter the school level of teaching by allowed joining B.Ed. The path to the teaching of public schools has been paved way.
Up to now Engineering graduates have not been able to test their fortune in DSC by completing the B.Ed. The Telangana state government has allowed the B.Ed admission to the engineering graduates who want to get jobs as teachers in public schools to avoid this situation. To this extent, BE and B.Tech candidates who have passed 55% marks in Science and Mathematics special subjects are eligible to attend the Ed.CET entrance examination. The cut-marks for the SC, ST and BC categories have been reduced by 40 per cent.
According to the government issued by the GO, the BE and B.Tech candidates are eligible for Mathematics Methodology in B.Ed. For Physical Science subjects, engineering graduates must have studied physics and chemistry subjects as specialization. This means that in Urban district there are 15,000 to 20,000 engineering graduates to join B.Ed course.
The National Council for Teacher Education (NCET) has permitted Engineering students admissions into B.Ed courses year ago. But state government has not been able to issue the relevant GO’s. Even though allows engineering students attend the entrance. However, engineering graduates were not able to attend due to lack of sufficient information.
In many public schools, the lack of mathematics, physics and chemistry teachers is severe. Most students in the tenth class exam are failing in these subjects. Now, B.Tech Engineering students eligible to B.Ed course entrance Edcet in Telangana. With current decision of Government scarcity of mathematics and science teachers in the Govt. schools will fulfill in near future.
