Engineering new fee structure and guidelines…
AP Government announced a new fee reimbursement policy for engineering courses for 2012-13 academic year. Fee reimbursement applies to students who take admission in the convener quota and students annual family income is below Rs 1 lakh are eligible for the scheme. The limit for SC and ST students is Rs 2 lakh.
For 2012-2013, the AFRC has fixed Rs 35,000 as the fee in 604 colleges with seat strength of 1,92,311. Rest of 85 colleges fees will vary from Rs 52,000 to Rs 1,05,000 for 33,243 seats. The 35000 for all eligible students studying in 604 engineering colleges the government will also reimburse the entire fees for certain categories of students irrespective of the amounts charged by 85 fees hiked colleges.
Full fee reimbursement to 85 colleges in below condition students:
- All SC, ST students.
- Students, who studied Intermediate in government colleges or in private colleges with financed by the government.
- BPL students who pursed rank below-10,000 in Eamcet 2012.
From this academic year, the government has made it mandatory for engineering college managements to fill their quota online. Eamcet officials issued a revised schedule for engineering Web counselling to enable students to give their web options from 31 August.
Eamcet officials give another chance on September 10 from rank 1 to 1,00,000 and on September 11 from rank 1,00,001 to last rank to exercise web counselling. Eamcet 2012 seat allotment list will be announced on http://apeamcet.nic.in on September 14 after 6 pm.
