APset results are released today at 12.30 pm, around 8000 candidates qualified in APSET exam after 14 years Osmania University successfully conducts State Level Eligibility Test and final results will out in few hours. AP Government has decided to conduct APSET Exam to keep interested of a large number of aspirants for recruitment as Lecturers and Assistant Professors in universities and state degree colleges, and also government decide to conduct the exam in Telugu medium also, wherever applicable.
UGC has recognized the Osmania University as the State Agency for conducting the State Eligibility Test (SET) in Andhra Pradesh for 24 subjects for the year 2018. APSET exam peacefully held on 27th July, appeared candidates are eagerly waiting for APset results. As per information from media, APset results will be released on 04th October at 11.30 AM. APSET qualifiers will be given a SET pass-certificate and the validity period of certificate is forever.
What is the difference between APset and UGC NET? Nothing APSET is a State level Eligibility Test and it’s based on the same pattern of the CSIR/UGC National Eligibility Test (NET). The state will conduct SET after obtaining accreditation from UGC only. In state-level recruitment to Lecturers and Assistant Professors in universities and state degree colleges, APSET and UGC NET qualifiers are an only eligible candidate. Compare to UGC NET, in APSET no changes in exam curriculum and syllabus only some subject’s exam in Telugu medium will give cushion to Telugu medium candidates in getting APSET eligibility.
UGC NET qualifiers get two types of advantages, JRF and Lectureship, in AP SET its works only within, qualified candidates in SET eligible to Lectureship in AP. The candidates who appear APSET 2018 are required to get minimum marks separately in Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III:
Getting APSET eligibility depends on obtaining the minimum required marks in each paper, separately as mentioned above, will be considered for the final APSET 2018 results.
