AP Professional tax Online Payment – Andhra Pradesh government is issued GO Ms No. 82 on 04-02-2013 for Proposal to amend the 1st Schedule of the Professional tax. The Andhra Pradesh PT on Trades, Callings and Employments Andhra Pradesh government makes the following amendments to the First Schedule of the said Act.

Salary and wage earners whose monthly salaries or wages Up to 15,000 tax is Nil, From 15,001 to 20,000 150 Per Month and Above 20,000 income earners will have to pay 200 per month.
Agriculturalist, Persons engaged in performing religious duties, Skilled persons, that is to say, Gold Smith, Black Smith, Pot Maker, Basket Maker, Washerman, Barber, Cobbler, Tailors, Carpenters, Masons, Plumbers, Book Binder, Toddy Tappers and Electricians, Physically Handicapped persons with 40% or more disability of any kind, Dry Cleaners are Exempted from PT.
APPT, AP Commercial Taxes Department collects the AP Profession Tax dues from all professionals in Andhra Pradesh. APCT Department reaching out to taxpayers on online too collects the Profession Tax dues. The Profession Tax is a maximum of Rs.2500/- p.a. and a minimum of as low as Rs.110/- p.a.
APPT levy is based on the principle of ability to the taxpayer. If the taxpayers fulfil their Income Tax, Profession Tax paid by Incometax payer individuals/organisations is 100% relatable against Income Tax dues. There is no additional levy to In time Income-tax Payers.
